Being told as a thirteen year old that I have poor posture had a profound and lasting effect on me. I have always found the human body to be fascinating, this incredible piece of machinery that we get to operate.

My passion led me to study human movement (Kinesiology) at University, where I fused bottom-up muscle-focused Kinesiology with top-down brain-focused Psychology. For one of my   " classes " I was forced to take Yoga and a new passion was sparked. In Yoga I see the work of countless people that have come before us who ventured further into what it means to be human, to have a body and a mind that can be expanded and explored.

The result of this journey is Core Concepts

The information I received at University encouraged me to venture out and help others, because knowledge, like happiness, is only really useful when shared.

After University, I became a personal trainer working for the North Vancouver recreation commission, where I had worked for 6 years previously as a lifeguard and swim instructor. My time as a health and lifestyle consultant was a positive, community oriented experience and i thoroughly enjoyed my time at William Griffin in North Vancouver.

Since 2010, I have been working as a contract kinesiologist, personal trainer and fitness instructor (TRX, Bosu, Core, Bootcamp, & Spin) for west vancouver, as well as private contract work.

In 2012, I took the leap and 6 years after I first took Yoga in University, I began my first 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Yogapod. This shift in focus has granted me new light into the realm of human movement.
